SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GRAN FONDO ARGENTINA
The Gran Fondo Argentina 2025 reaffirms its commitment to the community by supporting the "Argentine Cycling Schools" project, an initiative that seeks to promote cycling as an educational tool in the Mujica neighborhood (former Villa 31 de Retiro) through the creation of a cycling school.
The profits obtained from the sale of the Official Gran Fondo Argentina 2025 Jersey will be fully donated to make this project a reality and continue promoting cycling as an engine of inclusion and development.
2025 Edition – Argentine Cycling School
In 2025, the event reaffirmed its commitment to the community by supporting the Escuela Argentina de Ciclismo project, an initiative that seeks to promote cycling as a tool for education and social transformation.
The goal is to create the first cycling school for girls, boys, and young people from vulnerable communities, introducing them to sports, sustainable mobility, and fundamental values such as discipline, camaraderie, and hard work.
2024 Edition – Direct Social Impact
In the 2024 edition, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the Official Jersey and a portion of the registration fees were allocated to two high-impact social projects:
1) EFA Tuclame School (Córdoba): Thanks to the contribution from Gran Fondo Argentina, the school was able to realize its dream of building a roof over its sports field, allowing students to participate in recreational and sports activities year-round.
The school, located in Tuclame, Córdoba province, follows a dual-track educational model that combines theoretical instruction with hands-on training in agricultural activities, thereby strengthening local roots and development.
2) Estéban Bullrich Foundation: 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the official jersey were donated to purchase eye-tracking and speech synthesis devices for patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) who have lost the ability to communicate.
This technology allows them to regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
2023 Edition – Building Community
In 2023, the event supported two organizations that work every day to improve the lives of those who need it most:
1) Asociación Civil Arriba los Pibes (José C. Paz): A contribution was made toward the renovation of the community dining hall that provides food and school supplies to vulnerable children.
The space was supported for years by Olympic athlete Brian Toledo, whose legacy lives on through the work of the community and volunteers.
2) EMA Foundation (Multiple Sclerosis Argentina): Funds were allocated to the “EMA Goes Out into the Community” program , which trains professionals dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of multiple sclerosis.
Since 1986, EMA has provided free counseling, therapeutic workshops, and support groups for patients and their families, contributing to comprehensive and accessible care.
