Punta del Este, a destination to experience with all your senses

There’s no better way to start the year than by cycling along the coast…
In the height of summer, Punta del Este reveals all its charm: kilometers of beaches, the blue ocean, pine forests, unforgettable sunsets, world-class cuisine, nightlife, and a unique energy that make it one of the most exclusive beach resorts in our region.
The Gran Fondo Punta del Este is much more than just a race. It’s the perfect excuse to enjoy a vacation by the sea, share a passion for cycling with friends and family, and have an unforgettable experience in an incomparable natural setting.
On January 10, as the Punta del Este resort comes alive with the season’s most vibrant atmosphere, thousands of cyclists will ride a course designed to showcase the beauty of the coastline, the sound of the ocean, and the thrill of pedaling through landscapes that seem tailor-made for cycling.
The start, finish, awards ceremony, and post-race festivities will take place at the MACA Pablo Atchugarry Museum, a space where art, architecture, and nature coexist in an extraordinary way. The fact that a cycling event begins and ends at such a special museum transforms the Gran Fondo into a unique experience: not only do participants ride along the coast, but they also celebrate the sport in a culturally rich and inspiring setting.

A Jersey with purpose! 100% of the profits from the sale of the jersey will be allocated to the “Escuelas Argentinas de Ciclismo” project, which seeks to promote cycling as an educational tool in Barrio 31 of Retiro through the creation of a cycling school.
The jersey will have an authentically Argentine aesthetic, with the colors light blue and white, and the number 10 highlighted on the chest and back. To commemorate the 3rd edition of the race, it will have three stars on it sleeve.
The garment will be manufactured by the Colombian company Suarez, a leader in the cycling market for its innovative designs and the quality of its garments. It is a very ergonomic jersey, made with high-end Italian fabrics.
The start takes place at the Pablo Atchugarry MACA Museum, a cultural icon where contemporary art coexists with nature. Surrounded by monumental sculptures and open gardens, cyclists set off from a unique setting that reflects the spirit of the Gran Fondo Argentina Punta del Este.
The route begins on Route 104 heading west, passing through farms, ranches, boutique wineries, and country inns that capture the essence of rural Uruguay.
Further on, the route takes Route 9 north to the Camino Sainz Martínez, where the two distances split. Participants in the 62K turn right, while cyclists in the 115K continue on Route 9 to the Camino del Caracol roundabout.
We are committed to continuously strengthening safety protocols and measures to ensure the well-being of all cyclists.
Gran Fondo Argentina is a “Green Race”, organized and implemented under carefully developed sustainability criteria.
Gran Fondo Argentina 2026 reaffirms its commitment to the community by supporting projects that promote cycling as a tool for education and social transformation.
